Luke 12:27
“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell
you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
Daisy
came to us from the United States Equine Rescue League in early 2011. She
was part of a huge rescue operation that brought over 50 horses out of
a severe neglect case in 2010. Luckily, Daisy had not been at this persons
home as long as some of the other horses before help came. She was not
as traumatized physically and mentally as some of the other horses involved
in the case....many horses did not make it.
Daisy has entertained us since day one with her funny and silly personality.
When you come towards her with her daily feed, she almost does a "happy
dance" complete with a squeal!
She
is part appaloosa, which can make her more "slow than go" at
times, bur for our program, we consider that a "plus!" Once we
have decided that a horse will work well in our program with the children,
we officially adopt them from the US Equine Rescue League. After months
of training, hours in the saddle, and practice sessions with our youth
leaders, as of August 2011, we are adopting Daisy and plan to use her in
the fall 2011 program.
