Dr. Kim Alford
President
Kim’s love for animals and children made the decision to volunteer with Wings of Hope Ranch a natural fit. Kim moved to the Richmond area from Roanoke, Va to attend VCU. She was privileged to grow in a home and church community that allowed her to accept Jesus as her personal Savior as a child. Kim has volunteered in children’s ministries as part of her local church and through participation in both local and international mission projects.
Kim is a pediatric occupational therapist who has worked in the Richmond area for almost 30 years. She is excited to use her knowledge about children facing conflicts and challenges to support other Wings of Hope volunteers and to support the organization as it grows. Kim currently teaches at South University in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. You will often find SU OTA students volunteering at Wings of Hope to gain clinical experience.
Kim enjoys all aspects of the volunteer experience at Wings of Hope. Doing barn chores allows her to live her childhood dream of having a pony and participating in sessions allows her to demonstrate Christ’s love to children in a unique way. Growing up in Christian Endeavor, a youth organization, she learned Romans 12:1-2. She continues to seek transformation in her own life and takes joy in seeing Christ transform others.
