Lacey

Lacey is a beautiful paint Quarter horse mare, although she doesn’t have any paint spots. She used to be a 4H horse, but tragic circumstances led to her and her pasture mate being given to new owners. Those owners then needed to find a new home for the two horses, so Lacey came to Wings of Hope. She is a wonderful and reliable horse in our program, having been a walk-trot-canter-jumper show horse while in 4H.

Lacey’s name means ‘cheerful’ or ‘joyful,’ and there are many verses in the Bible that include those meanings! Her chosen verse comes from Psalm 35:9, which says, “And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord; it shall rejoice in His salvation.”
