Laura Boone
Director
Laura is the Vice President of Organization Development Services for Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP). In her role she provides customized organization, learning, and human resource development solutions to VEDP and our clients who are bringing new business and expansions to the Commonwealth. Laura has spent more than 30 years as an organization development professional working across several industries including manufacturing, retailing, healthcare, government, and academia. Laura has served as an adjunct faculty member for Virginia Commonwealth University and has worked on a variety of talent strategy initiatives, organizational development, change management, leadership development, and instructional design projects with Arthur J. Gallagher, Bon Secours Health System, Owens & Minor, and the U.S. Army Cadet Command.
Laura graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Management. She earned a M.Ed. from Virginia Commonwealth University in Adult Education and Human Resource Development and has completed over 60 hours of post-graduate work in Leadership & Organization Development. Laura also holds certifications for Executive Coaching, Emotional Intelligence, DiSC, Outward Mindset, Brain-Based Science, and a variety of other assessments. Laura and her husband, Kyle, have four children and live in Ashland, Virginia. They enjoy spending time with family, hiking, and volunteering their time to work on projects for family and friends.
