Nibby

Belgian Warmblood

17 hands

Nibby was born April 2012 in Florida and came to Virginia as an eventing horse. After sustaining injuries and having limitations he came to Wings of Hope to join the ministry horse team. He will now be known as “Barnabas” with the nickname “Nibs”, “Mr. Nibs”, “Nibby” and many other similar variations bestowed upon him by our fantastic volunteers and ranchers!
His official scripture verse will be Acts 13:2:
While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
We pray our Barnabas will blossom in the ministry work set before him and exemplify the characteristics of his namesake.
In the Bible, Barnabas was a prominent and exemplary figure in the early Christian church, known for his generosity, faith, and particularly his role as the "Son of Encouragement".
His nickname, "Son of Encouragement," perfectly describes his consistent ability to uplift and build up others within the faith community. He was a man filled with the Holy Spirit and faith, radiating joy and inspiring others to stay true to the Lord.
Despite disagreements that arose, particularly with Paul, Barnabas was characterized by his ability to build bridges of sympathy and understanding, demonstrating a willingness to forgive and see the best in others.
