Sparky

Sparky was a part of Pony Partners in Louisa, Virginia before finding his way home to Wings of Hope. After Pony Partners' founder, Patty announced her retirement and subsequent closing of the ministry she reached out to Wings of Hope because she thought Sparky would enjoy continuing serving. Patty had been out to our Ranch many times during the Ministry Conference, and we were honored she thought of us. Our horse leadership team loved meeting Sparky and after a few visits it was determined he would be a wonderful fit at the Ranch. Sparky is full of personality and when he first came to Wings of Hope it was fun introducing him to the herd and seeing him "make friends". First he was introduced to Aaron and it was fun to watch Aaron get quite a workout keeping up with Sparky. Sparky's stall was next to Belle and Wendy and they had a chance to meet during meal time. One evening Sparky took it upon himself to let himself into the girl's paddock and it appeared he selected his herd mates. These days he spends his days with Wendy, Belle, Lacey and Wonder. When we adopted Sparky we were blessed to also "adopt" a couple of volunteers from Pony Partners! We are thankful for gift of Sparky and the children he will continue to bless at Wings of Hope.
